About Me
Marni Perschnick, LCSW
(she/her)
Psychotherapist, Interfaith Minister, Forest Therapy Guide
CA: LCSW116543, NV: 8427-C, ID: LCSW-36384
Since 2014, I’ve been helping clients break through the obstacles that keep them from living with clarity, confidence, and connection.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I bring over a decade of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), relationship struggles, life transitions, and the often-complex journey of faith deconstruction and reconstruction. My approach is compassionate, integrative, and client-centered — grounded in evidence-based practices while honoring the full spectrum of your humanity.
In addition to my clinical training, I bring a broader lens as a certified forest therapy guide, Enneagram coach, and ordained interfaith minister. I see you as a whole person — addressing the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of your well-being. Whether you're seeking practical tools, a deeper understanding of yourself, or a safe place to heal, I’m here to walk alongside you with care and insight.
Outside the therapy room, I find nourishment in nature — hiking the Sierra Nevada mountains, walking along the Truckee River, and crafting with natural materials like willow, wood, and stone. Creativity and connection to the earth are central to how I live and work.

If you're interested in exploring spiritual direction, ritual work, or nature-based ceremonies, you’re warmly invited to visit my Spiritual Services page to learn more about those offerings.
*Please note: My role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is distinct and separate from my role as an interfaith/interspiritual minister and spiritual guide. Psychotherapy services are offered only within the scope of my clinical license, follow all professional and legal requirements, and are billed accordingly. Ministry and spiritual offerings (such as Forest Church, rituals, retreats, or spiritual direction) are not psychotherapy, not clinical treatment, and are not covered by health insurance.

In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.

No Surprises Act
As of January 1st, 2022, a legislative package called the No Surprises Act was passed which affects the medical and mental health worlds. It was designed to prevent people from receiving medical treatments mistakenly believing the treatments were covered by their insurance only to find out later that they were not when they receive a large, surprising bill in the mail. As a result of the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to receive a document called a Good Faith Estimate from me at the time that you become my client, and to request an additional Good Faith Estimate at any other time that we are working together.
Since there are no hidden fees in therapy, and the therapy relationship is based on transparency, your Good Faith Estimate will not contain any information that is different from what you will already know about therapy costs at the time that we decide to work together. (I.e., It will be very clear at the outset whether you will be using insurance out of network benefits or not, how much therapy costs, and how payment will work.) And your Good Faith Estimate is not intended to be a recommendation or a prediction of how long you will be in therapy. You are always free to terminate your therapy or to switch to a different practitioner at any time.
Additionally, at any point in our work together, based on what is happening in your life and what you are needing, you may increase to two sessions per week, or decrease to biweekly sessions. Also, if you experience financial difficulties at any time in our work together, we would talk about adjusting your fee within the range of what I can accommodate. Therefore, the estimate provided on your Good Faith Estimate may not end up being the real amount that you ultimately invest in therapy.
Should you decide to become my client, we would discuss all of this and ensure you feel very comfortable with all of the above information and with anything else you may like or need to know about therapy, payment, and what to expect
